Northwest Austin

Development in Northwest Austin began in the mid-1950s. The area is located north of RM 2222, following Lake Austin to the junction of Highway 620 and US-183. Much of the area is hilly, offering great views of the Texas Hill Country and distant views of Lake Austin and Lake Travis. The Balcones Canyon Land Preserve is located here, saving Austin’s Hill Country habitat.

Houses typically range from 1,800 to 5,000 square feet with just a few remaining home sites available for custom homes.

Northwest Austin has golf courses and attractions galore, as well as dozens of shopping, hotels and restaurant options.
